Our Story

La Honda, California / Established 1972
La Honda Pottery has been producing hand thrown custom ceramics for over 35 years. Previously available only through wholesale designer showrooms, our large scale plant containers, urns, fountains, garden sculpture and furniture have been selling nationally and internationally.

Local landscape and interior design professionals have sought us out at our La Honda, California studio to execute their design "wish list" into unique, custom pieces for their clients.

We can create custom, decorative and/or functional pieces to your specifications, in sizes up to 7 ft. tall and 32 inch in diameter.

We also feature a line of plant containers in five styles, each style in sizes from 12 inch in diameter to 32 inch.​
We're now in the process of renewing our website and arranging for new approaches to working with clay. We have ended the production work for the designer showrooms, choosing instead to work with local design professionals and the general public who seek out quality handmade wares.

We'll be working on this website as we lay down the the plans for this new phase of La Honda Pottery. Bear with us as this evolves and check back to see what's new!

​All of our tableware is hand thrown, high fired to cone 10 stoneware and porcelain.

​We make all of the glazes-a wide array of color and texture. Our inventory varies. All items can go in the dishwasher, oven, and microwave.
